Hyderabad, Nov 17: The four-day Mega Commonwealth Masters Table Tennis Championships 2023, under the auspices of the Commonwealth Table Tennis Federation (CTTF) will be held at the Firefox Sports & Resorts at Moinabad on the outskirts of the city from Saturday.
With a whopping $25,000 up for grabs in prize-money, the top-tier tournament will see a close fight in men and women singles and doubles and mixed doubles categories, a release said here on Friday.
The men and women singles titlists will be richer by $500 each while the men and women doubles and mixed doubles winners will take home $300 each.
Open to players aged over 40 years, the competitions feature various age-group classifications, including 40-44 years; 45-49 years; 50-54 years; 55-59 years; 60-64 years; 65-69 years; 70-74 years; 75-79 years and 80+ will be held during the four-day event.
The CTTF is very hopeful of closely fought battles when the Masters slog it out to outwit one another for eventual honours.
Players from many of the 72 member-nations of the Federation will be seen in action.
