Mumbai, Nov 9: Efforts are expected from all to make Maharashtra pollution free, said Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Wednesday.

Speaking at a programme here, he said that rising temperature and its harmful effects on environment are currently being discussed all over the world.

In that case, it is necessary to take an environmentally friendly stance, due to this, the state government has encouraged plantation of trees on a large scale, he pointed.

Stating that subsidy is being given for bamboo cultivation, the Chief Minister mentioned that work is being done for environment conservation through campaigns like Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, he added.

He appealed everyone to take care that pollution level does not rise by taking an environment-friendly role.
