New Delhi Dec.01: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders and workers on Thursday held a protest outside the Delhi Jal Board office against alleged scam in DJB.

Describing an alleged scam in DJB, Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva alleged, “Jal Board scam is a bigger scam than liquor scam. 15 days ago, based on some documents, we had alleged a scam of Rs 3753 crore and even today we stand by it.”

“Tender of Rs 1200 crore was floated for Rs 1546 crore and then it was raised to Rs 1938 crore,” Sachdeva alleged.

Taking a dig at Arvind Kejriwal-led Delhi government, Sachdeva alleged that the sewer lines are being laid for nine years and payment has been made thrice but still nothing has been done in the name of work. “All these things show that Kejriwal’s politics is a politics of lies,” he alleged.
Talking about DJB’s losses, BJP leader Ramveer Singh Bidhuri said: “There was a time when DJB was in profit but today it is in loss”.
