New Delhi, Nov 01 – The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has accused the BJP-led Central government of attempting to “destroy” the party after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) issued summons to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. At a press briefing, AAP leader Atishi criticized the government, stating that it is using investigative agencies to target the party.

Atishi expressed concerns about the potential misuse of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) and claimed that the ED’s actions were part of an attempt to arrest Kejriwal. She asserted that the misuse of agencies like the CBI and ED would not end with Kejriwal and could extend to other leaders.

Delhi Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj highlighted that around 170 cases have been filed against various AAP leaders, including numerous cases against Kejriwal and Sanjay Singh. He stated that despite facing false cases, the AAP has emerged stronger each time. The ED has summoned Kejriwal for questioning on November 2 in connection with a case related to the now scrapped Delhi excise policy.
