Chhatrapati Sambhaijnagar, Oct 5: The majestic Deccan Odyssey, Maharashtra’s iconic luxury train, has made a grand return after a four-year hiatus, emerging from a brief pause enforced by the pandemic. Boasting enhanced luxurious interiors and services, the Deccan Odyssey is set to captivate travelers with its opulence and elegance.
Inaugurated on September 21 after a significant refurbishment, the train is one of India’s five super luxury trains and a prestigious project of the Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC). Known for promoting both popular and lesser-known tourist destinations, culinary offerings, and arts and culture within Maharashtra, the Deccan Odyssey also extends its royal journeys to other parts of India.
With a primary focus on attracting foreign tourists, the Deccan Odyssey offers a unique and regal taste of India. The current tours on its itinerary for the 2023-24 season include a visit to Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar with 20 passengers. The itinerary involves detaining at 1330 for sightseeing at the historic Daulatabad fort and Ellora caves before continuing its journey to Mumbai.
