Pune, Oct 12: MIT University of Art, Design and Technology, Vishwarajbagh, Pune is celebrating its 6th convocation ceremony on Friday. The ceremony will going to happen in auspicious presence of Mr. Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister, Road Transport and Highways.
This year 2805 students of the university will be awarded degrees.
On this occasion Padma Shri.Dr. A. S. Kiran Kumar, former chairman of Indian Space Research Organization, ISRO will be honored with the Bharat Ratna Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Award for his contribution to science and technology.
The incredible tradition of the university, which started with 26 students receiving degrees in 2016-17, has reached a record number of 2805 students this year. In this year’s grand ceremony, 23 students will be awarded a PhD, 51 students will be awarded Gold Medals and 188 students will be awarded a Rank Holder Certificate. More than 7 thousand people including parents and students will be present from all over the country for this event.
The university has adopted a complete digital system for the examination, hence smooth execution of the examination, timely results and transparency in the entire process has become the specialty of ‘MIT ADT’.
So this year we are looking forward to welcoming Nitin Gadkari to the university said university registrar Dr. Mahesh Chopde, 6th convocation chairman Dr. Ramchandra Pujeri, examination controller Dr. Dnyandev Nilwarna, director of engineering branch Dr. Virendra Shete while giving the information today.
“In this year’s convocation, 23 PhDs and 51 gold medals will be awarded with a total of 2805 students by MIT ADT. On the occasion, Nitin Gadkari and Padma Dr. AS Kiran Kumar will come to the university, the curiosity of the students has reached its peak”, said Prof.Dr. Mangesh Karad, vice-Chancellor and Executive Chairman, MIT ADT University, Pune today.
