Veteran Actor Junior Mehmood Passes Away at 67 After Battle with Stomach Cancer

Mumbai, Dec 8 – Veteran actor Junior Mehmood, known for his memorable roles in films like ‘Hathi Mere Saathi,’ ‘Karawaan,’ and ‘Mera Naam Joker,’ passed away on Friday at the age of 67. The actor, who had been battling stomach cancer, breathed his last at his residence in Khar. Diagnosed with fourth-stage cancer, he had undergone treatment at Tata Memorial Hospital in Paral.

Junior Mehmood’s close friend, Salam Qazi, confirmed the sad news of his demise. Qazi revealed that during his treatment, Mehmood expressed a wish to meet old friends, and actors Jitendra and Sachin Pilgaonkar visited him in the hospital.

The actor’s passing marks the end of a prolific career in the film industry, leaving behind a legacy of memorable performances that endeared him to audiences over the years.
