Hyderabad, Oct 25: The Vande Bharat Express stands as a beacon of modernization and technological advancement in India’s Rail infrastructure.

With its modern design, top-notch amenities and efficient service, the Vande Bharat Express is redefining train travel in India. Known for its comfortable train journey experience filled with best in-class facilities, the Vande Bharat trains have emerged as the preferred mode of transportation amongst the youth and working class, SCR release said on Tuesday.

Currently, five Vande Bharat trains are originating on South Central Railway (SCR) jurisdiction including Secunderabad – Visakhapatnam; Secunderabad – Tirupati; Tirupati – Secunderabad; Kacheguda – Yesvantpur (Hyderabad – Bangalore); Vijayawada – MGR Chennai Central. These trains are running successfully with more than 100 per cent patronage.

According to recent data of passengers travelling in Vande Bharat trains originating on South Central Railway, an average of 29.08 per cent passengers are youngsters who belong to the age group between 25-34 years. Similarly, in the age bracket between 35-49 years, an average of 26.85 per cent passengers prefer the Vande Bharat Express over other modes of transportation.

Accordingly, overall around 56 per cent of passengers on Vande Bharat trains in SCR jurisdiction are youngsters and working class people. This age group has become the highest as compared to the other age group passengers who travel in Vande Bharat.

The Senior Citizens in the Telugu states have also shown their likeness for Vande Bharat Express for its comfort and speed. According to the data, among all passengers, on an average 11.81 per cent passengers belong to the 60+ age group.

The Vande Bharat trains are providing the fastest travel facility and have reduced the journey time between different sections by a huge margin. From the date of introduction, a total of 7.16 lacs passengers have availed the services of the five Vande Bharat trains originating on SCR jurisdiction so far.

Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager, South Central Railway stated that due to its comfortable train journey experience combined with speed and reduced travel time, the Vande Bharat trains have become the preferred mode of transport amongst the youngsters and working class section.

He stated that Vande Bharat trains are a testament to the commitment of Indian Railways to enhance the travel experience and make the train journey more memorable and comfortable. He urged more Rail users to avail the services of Vande Bharat trains and experience the luxurious, world-class facility.
