New Delhi, Nov 17: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday visited the 42nd Indian International Trade Fair organised at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi on Thursday and inaugurated the Uttar Pradesh Pavilion there.
The CM visited various stalls of handmade products in the ODOP (One District One Product) Mart of UP Pavilion and interacted with artisans and handicrafts men. The ODOP products from all the districts of the state have been displayed in the UP Pavilion.
Yogi said that UP has done very good work in the last five-six years through the India International Trade Fair, expressing the hope that the state might bag the Golden Trophy for the second year in a row.
He said that in line with the Prime Minister’s vision of Vocal for Local, ODOP of UP is establishing the entire state as an export hub, opening doors to jobs and employment for lakhs of youth.
The CM said that besides displaying the ODOPs, an attempt has also been made in the UP pavilion to showcase works being done for infrastructural development in the new UP of new India. “UP’s rejuvenation through various development authorities is also on ample display at the trade fair,” he said.
He said, “UP has become a revenue surplus state from a BIMARU state in the last 6 years. A new environment has been created for industrialization in UP today,” he said.
Yogi said that UP is famous for workmanship, pointing out that a large cluster of 96 lakh MSMEs is operational in the state. He said that the UP International Trade Show was organised in Greater Noida some time ago, which received more than 70,000 domestic and foreign buyers.
He said, “Through ODOP, work is on to export the identified products of each district to the international market. Today the exports of UP have tripled to Rs 1.74 lakh crore. Through the inspiration and digitalisation of the PM, the products of UP are becoming popular in the country and abroad.”
The CM said, “UP is emerging as a growth engine of the country. When the Global Investor Summit was organised in UP in the month of February, investment proposals worth more than Rs 38 lakh crore were received.”
On this occasion, MSME Minister Rakesh Sachan, Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra, Additional Chief Secretary Amit Mohan Prasad and senior officials and officers related to MSME were present.
