Lucknow, Nov 20: Addressing the Bhojpuri society during the Chhath Puja celebration, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emphasized that India, as a land of faith, intricately connects the entire nation, fostering unity from north to south and east to west. Yogi Adityanath participated in the Chhath Puja festivities at the Laxman Mela ground, expressing joy in celebrating the significant festival with the Bhojpuri community.
Extending congratulations and best wishes for Chhath, the CM conveyed his blessings for prosperity and joy in everyone’s life. He acknowledged the dedication of mothers and sisters observing the challenging fast for their families during this auspicious occasion.
Welcomed by the National President of All India Bhojpuri Samaj Prabhunath Rai, Yogi Adityanath highlighted the resilience of India’s faith in preserving traditions and heritage throughout history. He contrasted this with other countries that, despite focusing on physical development, have faced a crisis of existence by neglecting their cultural roots.
Reflecting on the significance of public faith, Yogi Adityanath pointed to the 500-year struggle for the Ram Janmabhoomi and celebrated the imminent completion of the construction of the grand temple of Lord Ram in Ayodhya in January.
Chhath Puja, according to the Chief Minister, is a festival expressing gratitude towards nature and God. He emphasized the importance of water, symbolizing life, and urged organizers to undertake cleanliness programs for the ghats and rivers post the festivities.
The celebration of Chhath Puja becomes a testament to India’s rich cultural tapestry, intertwining faith, unity, and gratitude towards nature and tradition.
