US Imposes Export Restrictions on 13 Chinese Entities in Latest Move Amidst Growing Trade Tensions

Washington, Oct 18: The United States is imposing export restrictions on 13 entities in China, the Commerce Department said on Tuesday.

“In this rule, the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) amends the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) by adding 13 entities to the Entity List under the destination of the People’s Republic of China (China). These entities have been determined by the U.S. Government to be acting contrary to the national security or foreign policy interests of the United States,” the notice said.

The sanctions list includes chip designer Moore Thread Intelligent Technology and its subsidiaries.
