Kolhapur, Nov 21: A minor girl was killed after being attacked by a leopard at Talachiwadi of Shittur-Warun village in Shahuwadi tehsil of the district on Monday.
The girl had gone with her cousin to graze the goats near the house, when the leopard, who was hiding in a thick bush about 200 metres away from her house, attacked her.
After her cousin made noise, the feline ran away but the girl died on the spot.
The incident has been reported to the Forest department office at Malkapur in the district.
A case of accidental death has been registered at the Shahuwadi police station in this regard, sources added.
