Kozhikode, Nov 10: Two undergraduate students were killed, and another seriously injured, when the scooter they were riding fell into a 50-feet deep gorge at Anakkumpara near Kakkadampoyil in Kerala on Thursday.
According to police, the deceased were identified as Arshad and Aslam, residing at Vengara in Malappuram district.
They were undergraduate students of EMEA college at Kondotty in Malappuram district.
The seriously injured person Mohammed Daniel has been admitted at KMCT Medical College at Mukkam in Kozhikode district.
The incident occurred around 1500 hours, when the trio were returning to Koombara on the scooter after visiting the Anakkumpara waterfalls.
The riders reportedly lost control of the scooter while negotiating a curve and plunged into a 50-feet deep gorge.
Locals rushed to the spot and started a search operation and recovered the bodies and shifted them to a nearby hospital at Mukkam where doctors declared two of them brought dead.
