Chitrakoot, Nov 22: Seven persons, including six members of a family, were killed and four others were injured when an SUV collided with a roadways bus in Raipura area of Chitrakoot district here in Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday, a senior police officer said here.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Vrinda Shukla said that the incident took place near Baghrehi village when the Janrath bus going towards Prayagraj collided with the SUV. “While two SUV passengers were killed on the spot, two others died while being taken to the hospital. One passenger succumbed to injuries in the hospital,” she said.
She said that the deceased have been identified as Pratap Patel (45), daughter Akasnsha (10), son Sanat (12), wife Ashoka (40), father Anandi Prasad Patel (65), Rambai (35), all resident of Panna district in Madhya Pradesh and Jagjeet Kushwaha (52), a resident of Banda district.
The SP said that while two SUV passengers were killed on the spot, two others died while being taken to the hospital. One passenger succumbed to injuries in the hospital.
