Tragedy Strikes as Three Speech and Hearing

Chennai, Oct 25: In a heart-wrenching incident, three speech and hearing-impaired teenagers lost their lives after being run over by an EMU suburban train in Urapakkam. The victims, identified as J. Suresh (15), his brother Ravi (12), and Manjunatha (11), had come down from Karnataka for puja holidays to their relatives’ house in Chennai.

The unfortunate incident occurred while the boys were on their way to Vandalur Zoo. They were crossing the railway track when they were hit by the Chennai Beach-Chengalpattu EMU train. The boys had been staying at their uncle’s house, located a few yards from the railway track, during their holiday.

Upon receiving the information, the Government Railway Police from Tambaram rushed to the scene and shifted the bodies to Chromepet Government Hospital for post-mortem. The relatives of the victims were devastated, expressing inconsolable grief over the tragic loss of the three teenagers.
