Tirupati Devsthan Presents Traditional Sari to Shree Mahalaxmi Devi in Celebration of Navaratri Festival

Kolhapur, Oct 19: As part of celebration of ongoing Shardiya Navaratri festival, Tirupati Balaji Devsthan has gifted a customary ‘Manacha Shalu’ (sari) to Karveer Nivasini Shree Mahalaxmi Devi.
Tirupati Devsthan committee officials, who arrived here, handed over the sari to Western Maharashtra Devsthan committee representatives Sushant Bansode and Milind Narvekar on Wednesday.
It is a custom for Tirupati Devsthan to send an expensive sari as a gift of honour to Goddess Ambabai (Shree Mahalaxmi) during Navratri festival every year. The sari was brought to temple here in a traditional procession.
The price of the ‘shalu’ offered to Shree Ambabai is Rs 1,06,575, which will be worn to Shree Mahalaxmi Devi on the day of ‘Vijayadashmi’ (Dasara) festival.
