Siddipet (Telangana), Nov 22: Telangana Finance and Health Minister Harish Rao on Wednesday asserted that both BJP and Congress parties are “adversaries” of farmers.

Addressing media, he criticised the fact that agronomist MS Swaminathan had submitted a report to the Center during the UPA regime with the intention of benefiting farmers. However, neither the Congress nor the BJP had implemented that report.

The minister explained that the BJP government at the center had pressured the Telangana government to install meters on motors and threatened to cut funds to the state if the meters were not installed for agricultural motors. Despite this pressure, Chief Minister KCR did not agree to install meters.

He pointed out that even in states with Congress governments, meters have been installed for agricultural motors.

Referring to Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s recent comments, he emphasized that both the BJP and Congress are conspiring to put meters on motors, potentially depriving farmers of free 24-hour electricity. Harish Rao urged voters not to support BJP and Congress, even by mistake.

He accused the BJP and Congress of being on the same page and highlighted Telangana’s rapid development during KCR’s regime. Notably, the per capita income of Telangana has risen from Rs. 1,24,104 to Rs. 3,17,117 under KCR’s leadership.

Speaking on Telangana loans, he criticized that the Center has availed loans of Rs. 9 lakh crores in nine years and is making loans of one lakh crores per month. According to the figures released by the Reserve Bank, Telangana is in the 10th position from the bottom of the states with the least amount of debt.

He criticised that the value of the rupee, the value of the common person, decreased, and unemployment increased during the BJP regime.

He said Telangana is the state that produces the most paddy in the country.

He said the BJP cheated by saying they would provide two crore jobs every year.

The Minister revealed that 8 lakh jobs have been given by the Center in the country of 150 crores population, and 1.5 lakh jobs have been given in Telangana, which has a population of 4 crores. The government has increased the salaries by 133 percent with two PRCs.

“ BRS Government is an employee-friendly government ” Minister Harish Rao said and urged people to bless this government.
