Telangana Governor Expresses Shock and Concern Over Attack on BRS MLA Candidate

Hyderabad, Oct 30: Telangana Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan has expressed deep shock and concern over the attack on Kotha Prabhakar Reddy, MP from Medak and BRS MLA candidate for Dubbaka.

In a statement, the Governor expressed her sentiments, saying, “I am profoundly dismayed by the unfortunate attack on Medak MP and BRS Dubbak MLA candidate, Kotha Prabhakar Reddy, during an election campaign in Surampalli of Doulthabad mandal. Violence has no place in a democracy, and such incidents pose a severe threat to the democratic process.”

The Governor has directed the Director General of Police to take stringent measures for a thorough investigation and to ensure the safety of all contesting candidates and campaigners throughout the election period.

She emphasised the crucial need to maintain a peaceful and secure environment to ensure free and fair elections.

“I extend my best wishes to him for a swift recovery,” the Governor concluded.
