Bhadradri Kothagudem (Telangana), NOV 06: Telangana Chief Minister and BRS President K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) has announced that he will personally inaugurate the Sita Rama Lift Irrigation Project (SRLIP) upon a successful outcome in the upcoming elections on November 30.
Speaking at an election campaign meeting titled “Praja Aashirvada Sabha” in Kothagudem, KCR revealed that the SRLIP project has achieved 70% completion. He emphasized the BRS party’s commitment to securing power for a third term and ensuring the successful completion of the project, culminating in his personal inauguration.
Highlighting the need for democratic maturity, KCR criticized the Congress and BJP, questioning their accomplishments in the 75 years of Independence. He pointed out significant developments in education, health, transportation, roads, drinking water, and electricity sectors during the 10 years of the BRS regime.
KCR also underscored the success of Singareni, the state-owned coal mining company, reporting profits with a turnover of over Rs. 33,000 crores under the BRS government, compared to losses and a turnover of Rs. 11,000 crores during Congress’s governance. He highlighted the increase in compensation for the families of deceased Singareni workers from Rs. 1 lakh to Rs. 10 lakhs.
Discussing achievements in Kothagudem, KCR mentioned the establishment of a medical college, the grant of land titles (pattas) for 13,500 acres of podu lands, and the allocation of house pattas to 22,000 households. He urged voters to consider candidates’ character and party principles before casting their votes, encouraging support for Vanama Venkateswararao with a significant majority.
