Jogulamba Gadwal (Telangana), Nov 20: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) has assured that the state government will take necessary steps to add the Valmiki Boya caste to the Scheduled Castes (ST) list. This announcement was made during an election meeting titled “Praja Ashirvada Sabha” held at Alampur in Jogulamba Gadwal district on Sunday.

Addressing the gathering, KCR emphasized the significance of the vote and urged the people to use it wisely. He reflected on the changes in migration patterns in Palamuru, noting a shift from significant outmigration to people from other states migrating to Telangana.

KCR criticized the Congress party’s actions over the past 50 years, recalling difficulties during the reign of Indiramma, where deaths due to starvation occurred. He questioned the necessity of bringing back a Congress rule that disrupted people’s lives.

Highlighting the efforts under the Bharatiya Rashtra Samithi (BRS) government, KCR mentioned providing 24-hour electricity to farms and supporting agricultural development, including the construction of lift irrigation projects on the Rajolibanda Diversion Scheme (RDS) benefiting thousands of acres.

Addressing social welfare initiatives, KCR mentioned the increase in pensions during the Congress regime and pledged to further raise pensions to Rs. 5,000 in the next five years if the election is won.

Refuting claims that voting for Congress would result in the disposal of the Dharani land portal, KCR emphasized the potential return of the patwari and bribery systems.

Asserting Telangana’s law and order achievements over the past decade, KCR urged support for BRS candidates, especially those from common families.
