Tata Steel’s 'Art in Industry' Event Celebrates Artistic Innovation and Environmental Harmony

Jamshedpur, Nov 01 – Tata Steel’s prestigious ‘Art in Industry’ event commenced at the Centre for Excellence (CFE), showcasing the convergence of creativity and innovation. The theme for this edition, “Art for the Planet-Celebrating Diversity and Inspiring Change,” reflects the event’s commitment to environmental consciousness.

The inauguration, graced by noted artist Padma Shri Dulari Devi, known for her Madhubani Art Form, and Chanakya Chaudhary, Vice President Corporate Services, Tata Steel, witnessed the presence of senior and retired Tata Steel officials, art enthusiasts, and connoisseurs.

During the inaugural function, Chanakya Chaudhary expressed enthusiasm, stating, “Tata Steel is excited to host the Art in Industry event after a gap. This event not only celebrates the rich artistic heritage of different parts of the country but also highlights the important role that art plays in inspiring innovation and creativity.”

The event, scheduled until November 4, promises a diverse array of activities. Highlights include an Art Therapy workshop by Viveek Sharma at Sir Dorabji Tata Park on November 1, a talk by Lina Vincent on “Medium and Metaphors in Contemporary Art” at CFE on November 2, and a Children’s workshop at Jamshedpur Nature Trail by Venkat Raman Singh Shyam on November 3. Renowned ocean artist Subodh Kerkar will engage in a social interaction on November 3 evening. The event’s culmination on November 4 will feature T V Narendran, CEO & MD Tata Steel, interacting with renowned artists and distinguished visitors.

Participating artists include Dulari Devi, Chandra Bhattacharjee, R M Palaniappan, Saba Hasan, Madhuri Bhaduri, Somenath Maity, Farhad Hussain, Trupti Dave, Rathin Kanji, Saroj Venkat Shyam, Sachin Sagare, Shanthamani Muddaiah, George Martin P J, and Sohan Singh Billawria.

The event promises a unique opportunity to experience the diverse artistic styles and expressions of these talented individuals, emphasizing Tata Steel’s commitment to the intersection of art, industry, and environmental stewardship.
