Sensex regains over 300 points

Mumbai, Dec 8 – In the morning trading session on Friday, the BSE Sensex rebounded, registering a significant rise of 304.33 points to reach a new peak at 69,826.07. This surge was attributed to the strength exhibited by sectors such as Metal, Realty, Technology, and BSE services. Concurrently, the National Stock Exchange (NSE) also experienced a positive trend, advancing by 80.20 points to reach 20,981.35.

Throughout the trading session, the Sensex marked intraday highs and lows at 69,888.33 and 69,606.69 points, respectively. Similarly, the Nifty witnessed intraday highs and lows at 21,006.10 and 20,932.55 points. In terms of market capitalization, the Mid Cap index increased by 0.25%, while the Small Cap index rose by 0.42%.

Among the gainers, notable performers were JSW Steel, NTPC, HCL Technologies, and IndusInd Bank. On the other hand, some of the laggards included M&M, Bajaj Finance, Bharti Airtel, and Maruti Suzuki. The stock market exhibited a dynamic and active trading environment during the opening session.
