New Delhi, Nov 4 – The recently concluded CARS24 Yuva Kabaddi Series Monsoon Edition 2023 showcased the incredible talents of young kabaddi players in India. The tournament, held in Madurai, featured over 300 players, with Aravalli Arrows emerging victorious.

The competition, which saw 16 teams participate, witnessed 132 thrilling matches, captivating fans with intense action. Aravalli Arrows claimed the title, lifting the coveted trophy in an outstanding display of skill and determination.

The tournament’s top performers included:

  1. Arjun Rathee (Aravalli Arrows): The 21-year-old raider from Haridwar, Uttarakhand, scored an impressive total of 197 points, showcasing his prowess with 141 touch points, 54 bonus points, and two tackle points in 18 matches. Arjun aims to follow in the footsteps of his idol, Deepak Niwas Hooda, and represent the Indian Kabaddi Team.
  2. Suresh Oruganti (Vijayanagara Veers): The Telangana-born raider utilized his long reach effectively, accumulating 193 points in 17 matches. Suresh, a 23-year-old player, drew inspiration from former Indian cricket team captain MS Dhoni, overcoming life’s challenges to display his raiding skills in the Yuva Kabaddi Series.
  3. Sonu Rathee (Murthal Magnets): Hailing from Haryana, the 16-year-old defender contributed significantly to Murthal Magnets’ journey to the final. Sonu scored a total of 101 points, with 97 tackle points and four raid points in 23 matches. His impressive tackle success rate of 59.24% highlighted his defensive prowess.
  4. Lokesh Ghosliya (Aravalli Arrows): A crucial part of Aravalli Arrows’ success, 18-year-old Lokesh, hailing from Rajasthan, played a key role in his team winning the title. He accumulated 71 points in 20 matches, showcasing his strength and determination on the kabaddi mat.
  5. Vishva Asalavan (Palani Tuskers): The 21-year-old raider from Tamil Nadu, playing for Palani Tuskers, exhibited immense potential with agility and swift moves. Inspired by Ajay Thakur, Vishva accumulated 153 points, including 126 touch points and 27 bonus points in 18 matches.

The CARS24 Yuva Kabaddi Series Monsoon Edition 2023 provided a platform for these emerging talents to shine and glimpse into the future of Indian kabaddi. The tournament’s live broadcast on DD Sports and streaming on FanCode allowed fans to witness the promising young stars in action.
