Early Life and Education

Born in a middle-class family in Ulloor, Thiruvananthapuram, Raju Narayana Swamy was a brilliant student throughout his academic journey. He ranked first in Kerala in the SSLC examination (1983) and also topped the Pre-degree exam in 1985. He earned a B.Tech. in Computer Science from IIT Madras in 1989, where he graduated as the top student. Despite being offered a full scholarship to study at MIT, he chose to join the Civil Services to serve the country.
