Beed, Nov 10: In view of various kinds of agitations being undertaken by the Maratha community in the district, Additional District Magistrate has issued prohibitory orders under Maharashtra Police Act to maintain law and order in the district up to November 23.
The orders will come into force from 0001 hours at midnight till 2400 hrs on Nov 23, an official press statement said here on Thursday.
Consequently, any kind of agitations like marches, demonstrations, protests, ‘dharna’ involving five or more persons has been prohibited without prior permission.
An injunction has been issued under section 37(1)(3) in order to maintain law and order in the district.
Under this, the possession of weapons, sticks, swords, guns, any inflammable substance or explosives, stones or other missiles, objects causing injury to the body is prohibited.
During the period, people should not carry pictures, signs, placards or any other things which may disturb decency, order or endanger the security of the State or may cause disorder, the statement added.
