Nashik, Oct 30: In a joint operation, a special team comprising district police and Vadner Khakurdi police intercepted a van at Vadner Shivar on the Malegaon-Nampur road in Malegaon taluka. Acting on a tip-off regarding the transportation of gutka for sale in the city, the police conducted a search and discovered a stash of aromatic tobacco, pan masala, and gutka powder, amounting to Rs 3.54 lakh.
The authorities detained four individuals—Nihal Mohammad Yusuf Ansari, Ramzan Pura, Muddashir Hussain Muzaffar Hussain, and R Dayane. The seized contraband and the vehicle were taken into custody, and a case has been registered at Khakudi police station.
