Eluru, Oct 28 – In a crackdown on an illegal firecracker manufacturing unit at Kabela centre in Andhra Pradesh, police conducted a raid and seized significant quantities of firecrackers, explosive substances, and arrested two individuals. Circle Inspector N Rajasekhar informed the media that acting on a tip-off, the police team raided the illegal firecracker unit.
The seized items include 50 KGs of Potassium Nitrate, black powder, rackets, machinery, and other equipment intended for making firecrackers. The police arrested Mohammad Nazir and Mohammad Basheer, who were operating the illegal firecracker unit. Cases have been registered under sections 286, 336, r/w, 34 IPC, and Sec 9(B) of the Explosives Act 1984.
