Mumbai, Nov 4: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP – Sharad Pawar Group) Maharashtra state president Jayant Patil criticized the central government’s assertion of economic growth, labeling it as “completely false” and attributing the rising unemployment and deteriorating economy to the ruling BJP.
Patil, on his social media handle, expressed concern over the peak of unemployment in India, noting that the unemployed youth were experiencing depression. Referring to a recent report by the Center for Monitoring Economy, he highlighted that the country’s unemployment rate had surged to a two-year high of 10.05 percent.
He emphasized the contradiction between claims of economic growth and the simultaneous increase in unemployment, asserting, “The claim of the central government and BJP leaders that the country’s economy is growing…is completely false.”
