Mumbai, Oct 30: In a significant political development, former BJP leader and ex-minister Vinayakrao Patil, hailing from Latur district, officially joined the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) on Sunday. The momentous occasion witnessed the presence of NCP national president Sharad Pawar, who warmly welcomed Patil and his numerous supporters into the party fold.

Patil, who commenced his political journey with the Congress party, had previously held the position of Cooperation minister in the cabinet of then Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh. Representing the Ahmedpur constituency in Latur district, Patil has a longstanding history of service to the people.

Addressing the gathering, Sharad Pawar expressed his appreciation for Vinayakrao Patil’s dedicated service to the residents of Latur district over the years. Pawar emphasized that Patil’s decision to join the NCP signifies a commitment to continued and intensified public service.
