Nashik, Nov 25: Newly appointed Nashik Police Commissioner Sandeep Karnik on Saturday said strict measures will be taken to maintain law and order, particularly for ensuring women’s safety in the city.
Karnik, who took charge as the city’s police commissioner during the day, asked his officers to pay special attention to women’s safety.
Karnik said he was considering circulating a WhatsApp number to know the problems of the citizens of Nashik.
He held a high-level meeting with senior officers on steps to prevent juvenile crime and street violence.
Karnik was so long working as Pune Assistant Commissioner.
