Nashik, Oct 4: A major fire suddenly broke out in a godown and soon spread to other nearby godowns at Chunchale Dattanagar area in Ambad industrial estate area early on Wednesday, gutting wooden and scrap materials worth lakhs of rupees stored in there.
A fire suddenly broke out in a godown near Anand Vatike at Chunchale Dattanagar in Datir Mala area in Ambad Industrial Estate in the wee hours of today and then spread to other adjacent godowns.
Though there was no loss of life in this fire, scrap and wooden materials worth lakhs of rupees were destroyed, sources in the Fire Brigade said.
After being informed about the fire., fire engines from Satpur, CIDCO, Headquarters, Panchavati, Nashik Road were rushed to the spot and extinguished the blaze.
Though the cause of fire has yet to be established, it is believed that the fire might have started due to a short circuit, sources added.
