Mumbai, Oct 26: Under a special campaign launched by the Maharashtra government to complete e-KYC of eligible beneficiary farmers and fulfil other conditions ahead of transfer of next installment of PM Kisan and first installment of Namo Kisan Mahasanman Yojana, 13.45 lakh farmers in the state have become permanently eligible for PM Kisan and Namo Shetkari Maha Sanman Yojana, announced Agriculture Minister Dhananjay Munde on Wednesday.
According to an official press statement issued here, Munde, under guidance of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis, Ajit Pawar took his own initiative and coordinated with the departments of Agriculture, Revenue, Land Records, etc., to complete e-KYC, update records of land records, link with Aadhaar Bank account.
As a result, 13.45 lakh farmers in the state have been eligible for benefits of both the schemes by fulfilling the requirements.
The first installment of Rs 2,000 under the Namo Kisan Mahasanman Yojana of the state government will be distributed to about 86 lakh farmers in the state by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a programme due to be held in temple town of Shirdi on October 27, the statement added.
