Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Dec 7 – The Muslim community observed a ‘Black Day’ on Wednesday in protest of demolition of the Babri Masjid in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh on December 6, 1992.

A mass ‘azaan’ was given by Hafiz Arif Noori on behalf of Raza Akademi at Champa chowk here by tying a black band on the arms of attendees.

After Hafiz Arif Noori, the attendees gave a call to prayer. Heavy police force was deployed at Champa chowk.

On this occasion, Hafiz Arif Noori said that this tradition of giving ‘azaan’ in the streets every year is continuing on behalf of Raza Academy in order to maintain peace in the country, to get justice for the Muslim community and to remember the history of Babri Masjid to the coming generation.
