
Mumbai-Pune Elevated Corridor to Be Completed by February 2027
The ₹1,100-crore elevated corridor project connecting the Mumbai Trans Harbour Sealink (MTHL) with the Mumbai-Pune Expressway is set to be finished by February 2027, according to the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA).
Project Details:
The project includes two elevated corridors:
- Chirle (MTHL) to Gavan Phata
- Palaspe Phata to Mumbai-Pune Expressway
The goal is to reduce traffic congestion, especially on NH-348, which carries heavy truck traffic from JNPT (Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust).

Key Features:
✅ Six-lane elevated corridor over the JNPT–Panvel Highway (NH-348), with improved service roads.
✅ Another six-lane corridor along the Old Mumbai-Pune Highway (NH-48), including its widening.
✅ The Chirle section will be 4,958 meters long, while the Palaspe section will be 1,700 meters long.
✅ The project will connect Atal Setu with the Mumbai-Pune Expressway, ensuring smoother traffic flow.
