Mumbai, Nov 21: Sanjay Raut, a leader from Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray), took to his official social media account on Monday, accusing Chandrashekhar Bawankule, the Maharashtra BJP chief from Nagpur, of engaging in gambling at a casino in Macau. Despite Raut’s claim, Bawankule vehemently denied the allegation.

Raut posted a picture, alleging it was taken during Bawankule’s gambling session in Macau, claiming a loss of Rs 3.50 crore in a single night. Raut criticized the BJP leader, highlighting the contrast between the ongoing challenges in the Maratha protectorate and the leader’s reported involvement in gambling activities.

Encouraging users to zoom in on the photo for verification, Raut asserted that the image was captured at the Veneshine Casino in Macau on Sunday, November 19, at midnight.

In response, Bawankule clarified that he was sitting at a restaurant with a casino on the ground floor of the hotel where he was staying with his family when the photo was taken.

The BJP retaliated by sharing a picture of Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray attending a social gathering in honor of English footballer David Beckham. Questioning Thackeray’s drink of choice, the BJP denied Bawankule’s involvement in gambling, emphasizing his proximity to the casino.
