Bengaluru, Nov 25: The mortal remains of Captain MV Pranjal, who was martyred during an encounter with terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri sector, arrived in the city here on Friday.
Pranjal was serving as Captain at the 63 Rashtriya Rifles and was martyred on Wednesday.
Karnataka Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Energy Minister KJ George paid their last respects to martyr Pranjal at HAL Airport on the arrival of his remains.
BJP Parliamentarian Tejasvi Surya and Karnataka BJP President Vijayendra Yediyurappa also paid homage. Captain Pranjal’s family were also present at the HAL airport.
Martyr Pranjal did his schooling at Surathkal in Dakshina Kannada district. He had joined the National Defence Academy and was enlisted into the Indian Army.
