A “Meri Mati Mera Desh” campaign took place at Govind Yashda Chowk, Pimple Saudagar, organized by Corporator Shatrughan Kate. During this event, local citizens paid tribute to the martyrs by collecting soil in Amrit Kalash. Prime Minister Narendra Modi initiated “Meri Mati Mera Desh” to honor the heroes who sacrificed for India’s freedom as the nation commemorates the Amrit Mahotsav. Countless individuals, including revolutionaries, freedom fighters, and social reformers, sacrificed their lives for our freedom struggle. As we celebrate 75 years of independence, it is our foremost duty to remember their sacrifices through the “Meri Mati, Mera Desh” campaign. This initiative provides each of us with the opportunity to pay our respects to these national heroes. Corporator Shatrughan Kate emphasized that this activity serves as a gesture of gratitude to those who laid down their lives to preserve our freedom. The soil collected in Amrit Kalash today will be offered at the Amrit Vatika on the Dandi Path in Delhi in remembrance of our brave martyrs.
