Belagavi, Oct 31: On the occasion of 141st Birth Anniversary of first Home Minister of India Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Maratha LIRC organised a Run for Unity at the Military Station here, as part of the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, by paying homage to the visionary who immensely contributed towards unified India.
Often referred to as the Iron Man of India, he played a pivotal role in the country’s Independence Movement and Post-Independence Integration.
The Run for Unity was a fitting tribute to his legacy which exemplified the spirit of unity that Sardar Patel had championed. The run witnessed participation of all ranks and families and showcased togetherness thus reflecting the Unity in Diversity of the country.
The event showcased the enduring significance of Sardar Patel’s vision for a united India and how his contributions continue to inspire the nation.
This Run for Unity was a symbolic act of honoring a great leader and recommitting to the ideals of unity and integrity that he held dear.
