Maharashtra SSC Results 2025 Declared: Overall Pass Percentage at 94.10%, Girls Outshine Boys Again

Pune, May 13 — The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE), Pune, officially announced the results of the Class 10 (SSC) examinations for the academic year 2024–25. The declaration was made by MSBSHSE Chairman Sharad Gosavi during a press conference held at the board’s headquarters.

This year, the overall pass percentage stands at 94.10%, marking a slight dip compared to last year’s 95.81%. Consistent with previous years, female students outperformed male students, achieving a pass percentage of 96.14%, while boys registered 92.31%. Of the 8,23,611 boys who appeared for the exam, 7,60,325 passed, whereas 6,95,108 out of 7,22,968 girls successfully cleared the exam.

Repeater Students’ Performance:

Out of 23,954 students who reappeared for the SSC exam this year, 9,448 passed, bringing the pass rate for repeat candidates to 39.44%.

District-Wise Results:

The board also provided detailed district-level performance data. The Konkan division secured the top position with a pass percentage of 98.82%. It was followed by Kolhapur (96.87%) and Mumbai (95.84%). Performance in other key regions included:

  • Pune: 94.81%
  • Nashik: 93.04%
  • Amravati: 92.95%
  • Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: 92.82%
  • Latur: 92.77%
  • Nagpur: 90.78%

Exam Process and Security Measures:

This year’s examinations began ten days earlier than usual and were conducted across 5,130 examination centres throughout the state. Students appeared for 66 subjects in eight different mediums of instruction.

To maintain the integrity of the exams, 271 flying squads were deployed to monitor exam centres. Additionally, 37 schools that were involved in malpractice cases have had their recognition permanently revoked.

Notably, the SSC results have been announced almost two weeks earlier than the previous year, offering students and parents quicker access to crucial academic outcomes.
