Mumbai, Nov 23: In a recent development, Maharashtra’s Women and Child Development Minister, Aditi Tatkare, has expressed the government’s unwavering commitment to providing extensive support and funding to bolster the State Commission for Protection of Child Rights. During the award distribution ceremony of “Bal Snehi,” a collaborative initiative by Hope for Children India, Pune, Department of Women and Child Development, Maharashtra State Commission for Protection of Child Rights, UNICEF, and Commuted Communities Development Trust (CCDT) at Yashwantrao Chavan Pratishthan Auditorium, Minister Tatkare highlighted the state’s dedication to the overall development of children.

Addressing the audience, Tatkare emphasized the government’s special focus on the State Commission for Women and Maharashtra Commission for Protection of Child Rights. She reiterated that children have the fundamental right to education, and the government is prioritizing various schemes through institutions like the Child Reform Home, Women and Child Development Commissionerate, and Integrated Child Development Commissionerate.

Moreover, Tatkare shared insights into the formulation of a child policy that aims to incorporate activities and schemes fostering the comprehensive development of children. The policy is set to be a guiding framework for initiatives geared towards the well-being and growth of the younger generation.

The ceremony, which recognized the efforts of “Bal Snehi,” became a platform for the Minister to underscore the importance of collaborative efforts in ensuring a bright future for the children of Maharashtra. With a strong focus on education and holistic development, the state government, under Aditi Tatkare’s leadership, continues its stride towards creating an environment conducive to the well-rounded growth of every child in the region.
