Nagpur, Dec 9 – Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Friday said that cases against Maratha protesters which was taken place during Maratha agitation rally in Jalna district of Maharashtra will not be withdrawn soon.
In a written reply in the Vidhan Sabha today which is also the second day of winter session, Fadnavis said that police force was used appropriately in the interim protest.
The 50 Maratha protesters and 79 policemen were injured in this lathi charge.
He further said Maratha leader Manoj Jarange Patil wants the withdraw their Cases, but government will withdraw it immediately since many policemen who were on duty was injured in stone pelting incidents which first started from protesters.
He further said case will be investigated and the process of withdrawal of charges will be taken after that.
He categorically said that the summary offense will not be withdrawn.
