Srinagar, Oct 18: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday said that Jammu Kashmir Police’s prime goal is to eradicate terrorism to ensure peace, stability and security.

Addressing the passing out parade of JKP’s 510 recruit constables of 16th batch at STC Sheeri Baramulla, he said JKP’s prime goal is to eradicate terrorism, in all its forms & manifestations to ensure peace, stability & security.

“Terrorism poses the biggest threat to humanity”, Lieutenant Governor Sinha said on X.

He said with our collective will & hard work, we must protect our civilizational heritage & build a strong & progressive J&K.

Sinha attended the passing out parade of JKP’s 510 recruit constables of 16th batch & witnessed several demonstrations by brave police personnel at STC Sheeri Baramulla today.

“J&K Police has always displayed undaunted courage. The nation is grateful to their selfless spirit & sacrifices”, the Lieutenant Governor added.

He said industrial investment, holistic development, prosperity is a byproduct of peace and harmony in the society.

“Peace shapes the new future, promotes the principle of inclusiveness and provides the necessary means to fulfill the aspirations of the young generations”, the LG added.

Sinha said the rule of law is the foundation for equitable socio-economic development and the empowerment of all sections of society.

“J&K Police is playing a crucial role in combating terrorism and maintaining the rule of law in the Union Territory”, he said.
