Satara, Dec 8 – A deputy director with Labour department was arrested by Anti-Corruption Beureu (ACB) on Thursday while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 17,000 from two complainant companies here.
Accused Nandkishor Abasaheb Deshmukh (45), resident of Wakad in Pune, had demanded a bribe of Rs 17,520 for approving the bill of Rs 58,400 for conducting a medical checkup camp for labourers of two companies.


However, complainant informed about this to city unit of ACB, whose team laid a trap at MIDC-Satara area late this evening and caught Deshmukh red-handed with bribe money, a press release said here.
