Hyderabad, Nov 24 – Telangana Minister and BRS working president K T Rama Rao (KTR) has confidently stated that Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president A Revanth Reddy will face defeat in Kodangal and Kamareddy in the upcoming elections scheduled for November 30.

Addressing gatherings in Huzurnagar, Devarakonda, and Maktal constituencies, KTR emphasized that Revanth Reddy, despite his political position, is poised to lose in these key constituencies. He expressed skepticism about the promises made by Congress leaders, cautioning the public about the potential repercussions of bringing back what he referred to as the ‘Indiramma Rajyam’ era.

Taking a swipe at the Congress party’s approach to power supply, KTR highlighted the current power crisis in Karnataka and connected it to the Congress coming to power. He asked the people if they were willing to endure electricity shortages.

KTR ridiculed Revanth Reddy’s statement suggesting that three hours of power supply was sufficient for farmers, especially when using a 10hp pump set. He accused the Congress leaders of lacking knowledge about farming and presented the choice to the public between electricity and the Congress party.

The BRS Working President criticized the Congress for its perceived anti-farmer policies, citing contrasting opinions within the party regarding programs like Rythu Bandhu, Dharani, and other farmer-centric initiatives introduced by the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government.

KTR reiterated that it was Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) who spearheaded progressive schemes like Kalyana Lakshmi, Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bheema, and KCR Kits in Telangana. He highlighted the TRS government’s commitment to providing uninterrupted power supply and water to citizens.

Looking ahead, KTR announced that new programs would be introduced in Telangana after December 3, including the Saubhagya Laxmi scheme, providing a monthly honorarium of ₹3,000 to eligible women, affordable gas cylinders, superfine rice supply under the Telangana Annapurna scheme, and life insurance cover of ₹5 lakhs to over 93 lakhs below the poverty line (BPL) families.

In conclusion, KTR appealed to the people to vote for the BRS in the upcoming elections.
