Ratnagiri, Oct 2: Heavy overnight rain continued to lash all parts of the district on Sunday, causing waterlogging at many low-lying places with the stretch of Mumbai-Goa national highway from Khed Saheb Gandhi chowk was inundated with flood water.
However, the Jagbudi river was still flowing below the danger mark.
A big tree fell on Bavnadi-Devrukh road in Pangari Ghat section, which was immediately removed by people of the area.
Due to water logging at Bharne naka, the vehicular traffic on Mumbai-Goa national highway
came to a standstill.
The district administration has directed talathi, gram sevak and mandal officers to monitor the rain-related situations.
