Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 12: The Kerala government is targeting the establishment of 30 private industrial parks by December this year and is encouraging colleges to set up campus industrial parks to enhance the state’s ecosystem, according to Minister for Law, Industries, and Coir P. Rajeeve. Eleven industrial parks have already been sanctioned, with plans for three more in the near future. The government is also promoting the development of campus industrial parks in colleges and universities, with more than 30 engineering colleges and three universities expressing interest. The government recently revised the Private Industrial Estate (PIE) scheme to allow individual developers to construct industrial parks and boost industrial infrastructure in the state.”
