Mumbai, Oct 27: The term of the Justice (Retd) Sandeep Shinde committee has been extended till December 24, Sumant Bhange, secretary of the General Administration Department. said on Friday.
The panel has been formed on the issue of granting Maratha-Kunbi, Kunbi-Maratha caste certificate to Maratha community.
According to the official statement, Justice Shinde has been tasked with the statutory and administrative examination of the mandatory evidence required in the process of granting caste certificates to the Maratha community in Marathwada. The committee woud also prescribe the procedures for issuing Maratha-Kunbi, Kunbi-Maratha caste certificates to the Maratha community after the inspection.
