Srinagar, Nov 01: On the occasion of Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory Foundation Day, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha celebrated the extraordinary growth journey of the region in the last four years. Emphasizing the new identity found by the crown jewel of the nation, he expressed gratitude to citizens, public representatives, government officials, police, and security forces for their contribution to building a peaceful and prosperous Jammu Kashmir.
Sinha highlighted the dismantling of the ecosystem that promoted separatism and terrorism, showcasing the establishment of age-old ideals of humanism, communal harmony, and peace. The Lieutenant Governor also emphasized the impressive growth in agriculture, industry, and tourism sectors, showcasing the commitment and hard work of the citizens in the region.
Additionally, he outlined progressive policies aimed at empowering the poor, underprivileged, and weaker sections, focusing on equitable growth, dynamic rural economy, youth and women empowerment, and transparent administration. The occasion featured beneficiaries sharing success stories, the release of an e-Book titled ‘4 Saal Bemisaal,’ and a documentary film on J&K’s transformational journey. The celebrations also included impressive performances celebrating the rich cultural heritage of Jammu Kashmir.
