Jammu, Nov 6: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee Chief Vikar Rasool Wani on Sunday said that BJP government at the centre and UT administration is afraid of the peaceful protests of its own employees and put a ban on their democratic rights to seek timely release of their salary and GPF besides other dues of their hard work and termed it most undemocratic.

He said that people are fed up with the misrule of BJP and it will face the wrath of people of all sections when elections are held while Congress has emerged as the first choice of people including in the Jammu region.

“BJP is responsible for the worst sufferings of each and every section of society due to misrule and mis-governance on various fronts for more than nine years,” Wani said addressing a large Congress rally at Ramgarh assembly segment in Samba district.

AICC Secretary Co- Incharge J&K Manoj Yadav, Working President Raman Bhalla, Senior Vice President Ravinder Sharma, Vice President and former minister Yash Pal Kundal and other senior leaders were present on the occasion.

The JKPCC chief expressed surprise that the government is afraid of its own employees and has put a ban upon them to restrain them from seeking due salary of three months, GPF, wages and regularisation, in a peaceful manner.

“Is it good governance and where is the democracy left,” he questioned.

Wani said that people are highly agitated over denial of the right to elect their own representatives for more than nine years while the deferment of panchayat and ULB polls too, has added to the anger of people. BJP wants to rule through proxy as they know their fate in election.

He referred to the sufferings of the farmers and border people who face the brunt of Pakistan and the own government too.

They suffered huge losses and instead are being harassed to pay the arrears of abolished irrigation tax (abhiana) by the BJP government. The unemployed youth are suffering, the common man is being taxed but people like Adani are answerable to none, he said.

AICC Secretary Manoj Yadav lashed out at the dictatorial mindset of BJP and accused it of destroying the democratic atmosphere in the country by its politics of vendetta.

The Modi government is afraid of opposition and dissent and is trying every method to create fear through misuse of agencies but it is anti democratic. People will bring a change everywhere and the INDIA alliance will emerge victorious.

Working President Raman Bhalla said that the people of the border area are under continuous fear of Pak shelling and are great sufferers of the government neglect. They gave several sacrifices on the border and in the army and defended the nation but face hardships in agriculture activities but the government has failed to hold special recruitment for their wards.

Senior Vice President Ravinder Sharma hit out at the BJP’s anti farmers and anti poor besides anti youth and anti employees policies.

“Whenever elections are held, BJP will face the consequences but BJP people have glued to the chairs and are not holding elections so far,” he said.
