Jammu, Nov 4 – Jammu Tourism is gearing up to boost adventure tourism in the region, unveiling a range of exciting activities to attract tourists, especially the youth. Vivekanand Rai, Director of Tourism Jammu, highlighted the vast potential of Jammu as an adventure tourism hub, offering activities aimed at captivating tourists.
The tourism department has been actively working on expanding adventure offerings, considering the comprehensive feasibility report and minimal investment requirements. The initiatives aim to create employment opportunities and engage the youth in the thriving tourism sector. The director emphasized water-based activities, paragliding, and trekking, and collaborative efforts with associations for water surveys to identify specific locations for adventure activities across Jammu Division. The Directorate of Tourism, Jammu, is committed to enriching adventure tourism offerings and plans to invite expressions of interest from trekking experts to enhance the adventure tourism experience further.
